Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Tennessee's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Tennessee's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the North Greene Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tennessee took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-14.

Faith Hayes paced Tennessee's offense, picking up eight kills. Hayes got some help from Bree Adams and her nine assists. Emily Curtin and Ashton Blair kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Tennessee is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for North Greene, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coincidentally, Tennessee and North Greene will both be playing Hendersonville the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Commandos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 1:10 p.m.
