Softball Recap: Port Chester Rams vs. Sleepy Hollow Horsemen
Port Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 29-12 walloping at the hands of the Sleepy Hollow Horsemen. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Tabby Sanchez and Tamara Correia did some serious damage despite the final result: Sanchez scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Correia scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Fiona Lovallo was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Port Chester's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Port Chester will be playing in front of their home fans against East Ramapo [Ramapo/Spring Valley] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sleepy Hollow will take on Port Chester at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
