Volleyball Recap: East Burke Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous two meetings between East Burke and East Rutherford, and East Rutherford kept the tradition alive. East Burke lost 3-0 to East Rutherford on Monday. East Burke was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced East Rutherford earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

East Burke was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East Rutherford work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 29-27.

East Burke has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for East Rutherford, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.

East Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Rutherford, they will square off against Draughn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
