Preview: Highland Christian Academy EAGLES vs. Hamilton County Trojans
The Highland Christian Academy EAGLES will head out on the road to face off against the Hamilton County Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Highland Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They took a serious blow against Fullington Academy, falling 62-23. While losing is never fun, Highland Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 528th, while Fullington Academy is ranked 225th).
Meanwhile, Hamilton County had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Branford 46-31 on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaliyah McFadden, who scored 26 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which McFadden has scored at least a third of Hamilton County's points. Another player making a difference was Tramial Jackson, who scored 15 points.
Highland Christian Academy bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hamilton County, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Highland Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hamilton County in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. Does Highland Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hamilton County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
