St. Cecilia can bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Superior Wildcats by a score of 62-51. The Bluehawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Superior's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colten Butler, who posted 24 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That was a full 47.1% of Superior's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Jaren Gilbert was another key player, putting up six points and six rebounds.

St. Cecilia's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Superior, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Cecilia will square off against Aquinas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Cecilia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Superior, they will venture away from home to challenge Red Cloud on Friday. Red Cloud will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Superior surely won't give up without a fight.
