Softball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

Cosby lost to Hancock County back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles fell just short of the Indians by a score of 4-3. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cosby's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Hancock County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cosby beat the Indians by a score of 13-5 on Tuesday.
