Baseball Recap: Davis Darts vs. Syracuse Titans
Davis barely beat Syracuse the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Darts put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 17-2 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Darts, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Wally Grant was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Davis: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Davis got a massive performance out of Brody Mcguire, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Tyson Baggett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
