Volleyball Recap: East Noble Knights vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets
East Noble was the 3-0 winner over Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 3-2 on Monday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, East Noble sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 18-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12.
Elijah Delashmit paced East Noble's offense, picking up 16 kills. Delashmit got some help from Justice Reese and his 30 assists. Finally, Zeb Hand kept East Noble's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Aaron Linder, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Linder. Evan Armstead also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
East Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
