Baseball Game Preview: Estancia Eagles vs. Anaheim Colonists

For the second straight game, Estancia will face off against Anaheim. The Eagles will square off against the Colonists at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

While Estancia's victory against Anaheim wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Colonists on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Colonists recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Vaughn McCrea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Estancia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Atkinson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Estancia's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Anaheim, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
