Football Recap: Mize Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Raleigh, Mize was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 23-20 victory over the Newton County Cougars. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mize's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Newton County, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Mize will face off against Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Antrell Agee and Sullivan Reed. As for Newton County, they will challenge Northeast Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
