Basketball Game Preview: Tipton Blue Devils vs. Frankton Eagles

Tipton has gone 8-2 against Frankton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Tipton comes in on seven and Frankton on 13.

Tipton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They managed a 59-54 victory over Sheridan.

Grady Carpenter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds. His big performance that evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Quigley, who posted eight points and six boards.

Frankton hadn't beaten Lapel on the road since November 26, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Frankton walked away with a 61-49 win over Lapel.

Frankton's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Tipton, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.

Tipton was able to grind out a solid victory over Frankton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 59-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Frankton's Joey Wright, who scored 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Tipton still be able to contain Wright? There's only one way to find out.
