Basketball Recap: George Jenkins Comes Up Short

George Jenkins lost against Lake Gibson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The George Jenkins Eagles fell to the Lake Gibson Braves 61-56. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Gibson found their leader in sophomore A'Darrion Willis, who posted 28 points. Jeremiah Epps was another key player, putting up 15 points.

George Jenkins' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lake Gibson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George Jenkins and Kathleen will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lake Gibson will take on Discovery in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
