Preview: Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats vs. Hebbronville Longhorns
The Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats will be home for the holidays to greet the Hebbronville Longhorns at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Bloomington didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Columbia, but they still walked away with a 42-37 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bloomington.
Meanwhile, Hebbronville got the win against Bruni on Tuesday by a conclusive 53-33.
Joaquin Gonzales and Oscar Carrillo were among the main playmakers for Hebbronville as the former scored 11 points and the latter scored ten points along with five assists and five steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffery Shreve, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Bloomington's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Hebbronville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.
