Volleyball Recap: Davis Darts vs. Farmington Phoenix

Davis was the 3-1 winner over Farmington when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Darts fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Darts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Davis took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-19, 14-25, 18-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Zaylee Mabey paced Davis' offense, picking up 16 kills. Mabey got some help from Claire Shupe and her 22 assists. Marli Wall controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Davis' loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Farmington, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-14.

Davis will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Syracuse at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Farmington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
