It's playoff time, and Merritt Island Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Morningside Academy Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 15-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Grace Ebert was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kiana Montecalvo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Merritt Island Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Morningside Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
