Recap: Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen vs. Chilton Christian Academy Patriots
After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Glen Iris Baptist Swordsmen were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were dealt a 64-20 defeat at the hands of Chilton Christian Academy. Glen Iris Baptist was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.
Chilton Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milly Avery, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Avery has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Emma Camp was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Glen Iris Baptist still hasn't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2. As for Chilton Christian Academy, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Glen Iris Baptist will take on Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Victory Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 back in December of 2023. As for Chilton Christian Academy, they will take on Trinity Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
