Softball Recap: Silver Lake Regional Falls Short Against Ranked La Salle Academy

Silver Lake Regional is ranked highly in their home state and on Sunday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of La Salle Academy. The Lakers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The match marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Silver Lake Regional fell to 10-1. As for La Salle Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Lake Regional will take on Hingham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Salle Academy, they will square off against Coventry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rams have won 22 straight at home dating back to last season, while the Oakers won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
