If Thayer was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Mountain Grove last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats fell 10-7 to the Willow Springs Bears on Monday. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mason Thornton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cooper Clark, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Thayer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Willow Springs, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Thayer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 21-3 win against Winona on the 15th. As for Willow Springs, they will take on Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
