Soccer Recap: Fleming Island Takes a Loss

Fleming Island lost against Bartram Trail back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fleming Island Golden Eagles lost 5-2 to the Bartram Trail Bears. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Bears are ranked sixth).

Fleming Island's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Bartram Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1-4.

Fleming Island will square off against Atlantic Coast at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bartram Trail, they will be playing at home against Stanton at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. Bartram Trail is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.
