Basketball Recap: Cactus Beats Bradshaw Mountain for Their Third Straight Win

Cactus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bradshaw Mountain Bears by a score of 59-48. This was payback for the Cobras, who suffered a 63-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dominic Duran was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 43% from the field to rack up 22 points and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Browen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 boards.

The win got Cactus back to even at 3-3. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Cactus will be home for the holidays to greet Poston Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.22 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they will venture away from home to face off against Mohave at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
