Basketball Recap: Center Grove Takes a Loss

Center Grove was the 60-37 winner over Mooresville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Center Grove Trojans fell to the Mooresville Pioneers 73-69. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brevon Burns was his usual excellent self, as he made all 12 shots he took for 34 points and three steals for Mooresville. With that strong performance, Burns is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Thompson-Moore, who posted 13 points along with six assists and five steals.

Center Grove's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mooresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Center Grove will take on Brownsburg at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Mooresville, they will square off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mooresville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
