Michael Jones leads a balanced attack to beat Palmetto Christian Academy

Recap: Pinewood Prep Panthers vs. Palmetto Christian Academy

The Pinewood Prep Panthers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 80-54 margin over Palmetto Christian Academy. Given Pinewood Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Palmetto Christian Academy is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pinewood Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Jones, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Troy Dandridge, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

The win makes it two in a row for Pinewood Prep and bumps their season record up to 17-8. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinewood Prep will challenge Northwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwood Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Northside Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
