Baseball Recap: Cheshire Triumphs

While Cheshire didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the West Haven Blue Devils 6-5 on Monday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Enders was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Mann, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Cheshire always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Cheshire's record now sits at 6-3. As for West Haven, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
