Basketball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy lost against Salem Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kennedy Trojans were dealt a 66-28 loss at the hands of the Salem Academy Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Crusaders are ranked 41st).

Kennedy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Salem Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

While Kennedy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
