Basketball Recap: Schuyler Warriors vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies
Schuyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 37th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 79-22 defeat at the hands of the Standing Bear Grizzlies. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-15.
Standing Bear found their leader in sophomore Carlos Risueno, who went 10-for-12 to rack up 21 points along with five boards and five steals. Risueno is becoming a predictor of Standing Bear's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 1-12 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Paul Hart, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.
Schuyler's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Standing Bear, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
