Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Edison Chargers
After two games on the road, Rancho Cucamonga is heading back home. They will take on The Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Rancho Cucamonga had to settle for a 17-14 loss against Upland.
The losing side was boosted by Trey Wilson, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Wilson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Edison's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 21-10 to Los Alamitos. The low total for Edison limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Rancho Cucamonga's loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Rancho Cucamonga beat Edison 30-17 when the teams last played back in November of 2015. Does Rancho Cucamonga have another victory up their sleeve, or will Edison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
