Softball Recap: Oasis Christian Lions vs. Kathleen Red Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Celebration, Oasis Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Kathleen Red Devils. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.
Shianne Dunkle made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Dunkle was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Amber Whittington was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Woodard, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Oasis Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Kathleen, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
Looking ahead, Oasis Christian will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Legacy Charter at 5:00 p.m. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
