Baseball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County fell victim to Marquette and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Marquette, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Looking ahead, Putnam County will take on Princeton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marquette, they will face off against Hall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Crusaders 1.5, the Red Devils 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
