Softball Recap: Bulls College Prep Takes a Loss

Bulls College Prep couldn't beat Westmont on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Bulls came up short against the Sentinels, falling 19-4. The Bulls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mya Cruz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazel Jackson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Bulls College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Westmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Bulls College Prep will challenge Chicago Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westmont, they will face off against Cristo Rey Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
