Basketball Recap: Tatum Comes Up Short

Tatum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-51 to the Eunice Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent loss being a 58-49 defeat last Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Tatum still got an impressive performance from Aaron Marizcal, who on his way to 30 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Marizcal a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Martinez, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

Tatum's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Eunice, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8.

Tatum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eunice, they are taking a road trip to square off against Texico at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Texico's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
