Basketball Recap: Petoskey Takes a Loss

Petoskey was the 68-46 winner over Traverse City Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Petoskey Northmen were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 86-85 to the Traverse City Central Trojans. The Northmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Petoskey's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Traverse City Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Petoskey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-41 victory against Sault Area on the 4th. As for Traverse City Central, they will challenge Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Traverse City Central is facing Gaylord at the right time seeing as Gaylord is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
