Basketball Recap: Luck Comes Up Short

After flying high against Drummond on Tuesday, Luck came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 51-31 to the Grantsburg Pirates on Friday. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 69-42.

Luck dropped their record down to 4-20 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Grantsburg, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

Looking ahead, Luck will challenge South Shore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grantsburg, they will be playing at home against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will be up against the Beavers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.88 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
