            Basketball Recap: Hill City Ringnecks vs. Plainville Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            Hill City was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They took  a  45-27 bruising from the Plainville Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ringnecks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  41-33  last Tuesday.
 Hill City's loss  came despite strong showings from  Rylie Minium and  Jenna Berland.  Minium  dropped  a double-double on 14  points and ten  rebounds, while  Berland  posted four points in addition to five  boards and three  steals. That was a full 51.9% of Hill City's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's   had  more than a third of the team's points.  Sada Nelson also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  block of the season.
 Leading Plainville to victory were  Shelby Molina and  Nadalyn Ganoung.  Molina  went 5 of 10  en route to 14 points and four  steals, while  Ganoung  went 6 for 14  on her way to 13  points.  Brilynn Trumpp was another key player,  putting up five  points.
Hill City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Plainville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Trego the next time they take the court. Hill City will head out to face Trego at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while Plainville will head out to face them  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
