Hawley came tearing into Thursday's contest with 17 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Barnesville Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Nuggets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hawley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Annaka Johnson and Katarina Vetter, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Sella Fleming and her 35 assists. Finally, Johnson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Hawley's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Barnesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Hawley will host Hancock at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Barnesville, they will venture away from home to square off against Mahnomen/Waubun at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
