Softball Recap: North Marion Huskies vs. Fairmont Senior Polar Bears

North Marion put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears. The victory was a breath of fresh air for North Marion as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rayden Satterfield was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Satterfield has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Satterfield was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Reagan Ash was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Haley Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got North Marion back to even at 15-15. As for Fairmont Senior, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

North Marion will head out on the road to take on Oak Glen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairmont Senior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
