Dennis-Yarmouth Regional suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 31-18 loss to Hingham. The Dolphins had been ranked third, but fell to 41 following the defeat.
Nauset Regional moved up to 31 from 57 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Atlantic Coast. A 34-14 win over Mashpee helped the Warriors improve their standing.
Nauset Regional's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cade Frodel threw for 46 and one touchdown and Braden Wilson had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Jimmy Sullivan chipped in 205 yards. Frodel helped Nauset Regional's passing attack out by catching one ball for four yards.
Nauset Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sullivan has thrown for 172 yards this season, while Wilson has three catches for 88 yards. Sullivan also leads the league in rushing with 395 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sandwich takes on Plymouth North. As it stands, the Blue Knights are in second, while the Eagles are in fourth.
Keith Kenyon's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Atlantic Coast. The Warriors defeated the Falcons 34-14 earlier in the week.
