On Tuesday Allie Simpson tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The effort marked the fewest hits Simpson has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with less than one walk. This season, she has an ERA of 6.24 over 24.7 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Simpson and Boiling Springs will venture away from home to take on Gaffney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
