Volleyball Recap: Rolling Meadows Takes a Loss

Rolling Meadows lost against Maine West back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Maine West scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Richie Peters paced Rolling Meadows' offense, picking up seven kills. Peters got some help from Logan Quadros and his 16 assists.

Rolling Meadows' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Maine West, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Rolling Meadows will take on Hersey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Huskies have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Maine West, they will square off against Highland Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
