Volleyball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

Alcorn Central lost against Oak Grove back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Bears were not able to get on the board.

Stella Hollis paced Alcorn Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Hollis really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Addison Lutz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Alcorn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Oak Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alcorn Central will head out to face off against Saltillo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will square off against Madison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
