Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Assumption's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

It's playoff time, and Assumption had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Harrison County Thorobreds/Fillies a 6-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Assumption has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Harrison County, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 34-7.

As of now, neither Assumption nor the Thorobreds/Fillies have any future games scheduled.
