Basketball Recap: Gianna Flynn Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Calvary Academy

Atlantic Christian's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Calvary Academy Warrior with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-29 back in December of 2024.

Atlantic Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gianna Flynn led the charge by putting up 19 points and eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Flynn has scored at least a third of Atlantic Christian's points. Isabell Alford was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Atlantic Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win got Atlantic Christian back to even at 7-7-1. As for Calvary Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Atlantic Christian will challenge King's Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. King's Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Calvary Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Non Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
