Basketball Recap: Salem Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

Salem Baptist Christian lost against Hickory Christian Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Salem Baptist Christian Vikings were dealt a 79-34 defeat at the hands of the Hickory Christian Academy Knights. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hickory Christian Academy was led to victory by Landon Crouse and Noah Durham. Crouse dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds, while Durham went 7 of 9 en route to 20 points and five assists. Durham is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Carter Moore, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Salem Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Salem Baptist Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they and Carolina Day will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Hickory Christian Academy is facing Carolina Day at the right time seeing as Carolina Day is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
