Baseball Game Preview: St. John Paul II Panthers vs. North Florida Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, St. John Paul II will face off against North Florida Christian. The Panthers will challenge the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. St. John Paul II is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

St. John Paul II heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They came up short against North Florida Christian, falling 7-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in February.

For North Florida Christian's part, Caden Cooper and Brigs Sparkman did most of the damage at the plate: Cooper went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Sparkman got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Cooper has posted since back in March. Moxon Riggan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Florida Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for St. John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
