Basketball Game Preview: Gaylesville Trojans vs. Gordon Central Warriors

The Gaylesville Trojans will take on the Gordon Central Warriors in a tournament on Friday. Gaylesville has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 18.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-40, which was the final score in Gaylesville's tilt against Coosa Christian on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gordon Central hadn't done well against Pepperell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Monday. Gordon Central put the hurt on Pepperell with a sharp 78-57 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Gordon Central pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Gaylesville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
