Estacado is 10-0 against Snyder since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Estacado Matadors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Snyder Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Estacado has four straight victories, Snyder has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Estacado humbled Jayton with an 88-59 victory. The Matadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Snyder came up short against Brady on Friday, falling 48-25.

Estacado will need focus on slowing down Michael Escobedo, one of several Snyder players who made an impact when they last played. He posted five points along with nine boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Escobedo a new career-high in assists (three). Ethan Rios was another key player, putting up three points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Snyder smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Estacado is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Snyder, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Estacado took their win against Snyder when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 68-47. Does Estacado have another victory up their sleeve, or will Snyder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
