Basketball Recap: Central Magnet Takes a Loss

Central Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-35 loss at the hands of the Giles County Bobcats. Central Magnet was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Giles County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Central Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Giles County, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Central Magnet has already played their next contest (against Lawrence County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Giles County Bobcats challenge the Tullahoma Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Giles County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Tullahoma likes a good challenge.
