Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. James Logan Colts

Kennedy is 2-8 against James Logan since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Kennedy Titans will host the James Logan Colts at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kennedy is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Moreau Catholic and fell 78-51. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-20.

Meanwhile, James Logan came up short against Newark Memorial on Tuesday and fell 60-50. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 725th, while the Cougars are ranked 362nd).

James Logan's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Kennedy ended up a good deal behind James Logan in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 64-50. Can Kennedy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
