It was a Battle of the Birds when Veritas Prep faced off against Phoenix Country Day on Monday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Camden Palmquist looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Veritas Prep's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Baylor Arnold, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory got Veritas Prep back to even at 6-6. As for Phoenix Country Day, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Veritas Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 16th. As for Phoenix Country Day, they have also already played their next game, a 14-3 victory against Tempe Prep on the 16th.
