Basketball Recap: Vicksburg's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Vicksburg had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Niles Vikings on Wednesday, sneaking past 51-48. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Vikings are ranked 181st).

Vicksburg's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for Niles, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vicksburg has already played their next matchup (against Edwardsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Niles will be playing at home against Plainwell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
