Basketball Game Preview: D.C. Everest Evergreens vs. Stevens Point Panthers

D.C. Everest hasn't had much luck against Stevens Point recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The D.C. Everest Evergreens will head out to take on the Stevens Point Panthers at 7:15 p.m.

Last Tuesday, D.C. Everest ended up a good deal behind Marshfield and lost 51-33.

Meanwhile, Stevens Point came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Warriors to the tune of 83-44. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 34 points or more this season.

Stevens Point pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for D.C. Everest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

D.C. Everest took a serious blow against Stevens Point in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 56-22. Can D.C. Everest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
